I wanted to race boats when I was 10 years old. I was finally able to buy the engine that I would have used. Over 40 years later I brought a Mercury “J” race engine home.
About Us
Doug Penn has been an avid collector of antique and classic outboards since 1979. Doug went from a hobby collector to one of the first suppliers of antique / vintage outboards and parts on the Internet. His son Matt started making videos with Doug in the mid 2000’s and these videos really helped the business take off https://www.youtube.com/user/pennnamebooks. Both father and son are members of the Antique Outboard Motor Club Inc. (AOMCI) https://aomci.org/ They also support and attend local chapter meets on a regular basis in several parts of the country. As Doug’s career as a parts and engine supplier winds down Matt finds himself becoming more and more interested in antique/vintage engines.
